Cairo Expo City

In a nutshell...

Cairo Expo City is the new name of the merged CICC (Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Fair Ground to GOIEF (General Organization for International Exhibitions and Fairs) under the management of Egypt Expo and Convention Authority (EECA). CICC is the most integrated Centre in Egypt with 3 major halls: Cheops (2,500 seats), Chefren (800 seats) and Mycerinos (600 seats) all with simultaneous interpretation systems and UN voting. CICC has a banquet hall. Nefertiti (1,000 seats) with a well equipped kitchen. CICC is also equipped with 5 international exhibition halls with 20,000 m2 (215,200 ft sq). The Fair Ground (besides CICC) will be totally remodelled with a New Convention Centre, exhibition halls, hotels, shopping mall and office towers - to be ready by 2014. Cairo Expo City has a total land of 770,000 m2 and is managed by Egypt Expo and Convention Authority(EECA) belonging to the ministry of Trade and Industry.
