Cairo International Airport is the busiest airport in Egypt and the second busiest airport in Africa after Tambo International Airport in South Africa. Located 22 kilometers northeast of Cairo and around 15 kilometers from its business area, it received in 2010 over 16 million passengers. Cairo International Airport has an extensive range of services and amenities including a 5-stars hotel, a business center and over 3000 car park spaces. It is well connected to the city center through shuttle services, public buses and a good metro’s network.

Bus :

•    A shuttle bus service connects the airport with Heliopolis and central Cairo.
•    Several hotels in Cario offer their guests a shuttle service to and from the Cairo International Airport.
•    Public buses also run to a number of destinations, and intercity connections link the airport with Alexandria. (Buses number : 362, 356, 799, 27, 949, 400, 970, 971, 948, 925)

Taxi :

•    Taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall. The journey lasts about 30 minutes.

Car rental :

•    Car hire companies available at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, J Car and Thrifty.

Other :

•    Several Limousine companies have desks in the arrivals areas of Terminals 1 and 2 at the airport.

Sharm el-Sheik International Airport is the second busiest airport in Egypt after Cairo International Airport. Located 19 kilometres northwest of the popular tourist destination of Sharm el-Sheikh, it handles almost ten million passengers each year.
The airport provides numerous Flights to Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom in addition to several other international and national destinations.

Borg El Arab international airport is located about 45 km southwest of Alexandria and about 25 km east of the seaside resort of Borg el Arab. It became the principle airport of Alexandria in December 2009 when all traffic was transformed from El-Nouzha Airport (previously Alexandria's busiest airport) which was closed to commercial operations.

•    Number 555 runs from the airport to Zl-Ramle Mahahat bus station in Alexandria.

•    From Borg El Arab Airport to Alexandria is about EGP 80-100 with travel time of 40-45 minutes.

Egypt enjoys a comprehensive rail network offering high standards of services and a wide range of amenities. Routes operate from Salloum on the Libyan border to Alexandria and Cairo, and south down the Nile from Cairo to Luxor and Aswan.
