The Ben-Gurion International Airport is located 14 kilometers southeast of Tel Aviv and around 50 kilometers west of Jerusalem.  Handling around 12 million passengers per year, it is the largest and busiest airport in Israel. Terminal 3 is used for most international flights, while Terminal 1 is used for all domestic flights. The Ben-Gurion International Airport is considered one of the world's most secure airports, with a security force that includes both police officers and IDF soldiers.

•     Information desks are located in the main hall and in the Departures hall.
•     Ground stewards are on hand in the Terminal building to offer assistance and information.

•    Adapted telephones and toilets.
•    Ramps.
•    Lifts.
•    Elevators.
•    Disabled parking is available.

•   There are no hotels at the airport.

Shops and Restaurants
•    There are plenty of restaurants and cafés throughout the airport.
•    Duty-free shops are located in the Departures area of Terminals 1 and 3.
•    There is also a shopping mall in Terminal 3.

Other services
•    A 24-hour left-luggage and lost and found service is available at the western car park of Terminal 3.

Parking at the airport

•    There are short-term car parks at the entrances to Terminals 1 and 3.
•    Long-term car parking is at a remote location and is clearly signposted.
•    A shuttle bus connects long-term parking areas to Terminal 3.

Available transportation at the airport

Bus
•    Buses run to Jerusalem and Haifa on routes 423, 945 and 947.
•    Bus 475 to Tel Aviv goes to the central bus station.
•    Bus stops are located outside Terminal 1, opposite entrance gate 7.

Taxi
•    Taxis are available at the airport.

Car rental companies
•    Car rental companies including Avis, Budget, Eldan, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt are located in the reception hall. 

Train
•    A train service connects the airport's Terminal 3 and Tel Aviv, operating from 01:00 to 23:00 (journey time: 15 minutes).



Railway stations

Israel Railway Network

Israel Railways and Passenger stations are undergoing a revival and modernization process. Israel Railways currently runs intercity lines from Nahariya to Beer Sheva via Haifa, Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion airport, and suburban lines departing from Tel Aviv to Binyamina, Ashkelon, Kfar Sava, Rishon LeZion, Modiin and Bet Shemesh. Tel Aviv has 4 train stations, and Haifa has as many as 6, providing easy access to many parts of the cities.
