Mexico City

Mexico City, also known as the Valley of the Damned, is the capital city of Mexico and one of the largest metropolitan centers in the world located in the Valley of Mexico. It is the most important hub for financial, economic and cultural events of the country producing around 21.8% Gross Domestic Product of the country. It is ranked as the 8th richest urban agglomeration in the world after Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Paris, London and Osaka/Kobe. It is home for the headquarters of the country's largest banks, insurers as well as many international financial service companies for Latin America. In addition to its economic role, it has a rich history and no other place offers more than Mexico City in terms of cultural attractions. With more than 20 million people living in the area, sightseeing is sure to be filled with diversity and culturally interesting subjects. At the heart of the city, there are fascinating historical monuments and museums, amazing restaurants, vibrant arts and crafts markets, as well as modern amusement parks and many other attractions.

Metropolitan Cathedral

The Metropolitan Cathedral is the oldest and the largest church in Latin America and one of the most emblematic Christian temples in the world, located in the heart of Plaza de la Constitucion (Constitution Square) in Mexico City.

Construction was started at the beginning of the 18th century and continued throughout the next 300 years. This is why different influences can be detected in the architectural style, dominated by Spanish Renaissance and French Neo-classicism, along with a Baroque-touch to the rose sandstone roof.

The cathedral’s five aisles are adorned with ornate altars and elaborate engravings, and its floors are made of marble. Don't miss this transcendental symbol of the Mexican people's faith and devotion.

Chapultepec Park

This beautiful 2100-acre park is a cultural and recreational focal point of Mexico City. Chapultepec Park houses many forests, several small lakes, recreational areas for children, amusement parks and Chapultepec Zoo - the top zoo in Latin America.

This magnificent historic park features six important museums, including the Museum of Anthropology and Modern Art Museum, as well as the National Palace, residence of the president of the Mexican Republic.

National Museum of Anthropology

The National Museum of Anthropology located in Chapultepec Park features the world's largest collection of Ancient Mexican art and artifacts. It has 23 permanent exhibition halls filled with relics and treasures from this ancient civilization.

Arranged in chronological order, the exhibitions at this museum give you a feel for how the civilizations of this part of the world changed over time. It has also creatively re-created archaeological scenes that give visitors an understanding of where the objects they are admiring came from.

With an extensive collection, it is easy to spend an entire day perusing the different halls, so be sure to leave plenty of time in your itinerary.

Palacio Nacional

The National Palace is one of the oldest and most impressive buildings in Mexico City. It was built in 1693. Inside, there is a wonderful collection of murals by Diego Rivera.

The most famous one is the "Epic of the Mexican People in their Struggle for Freedom and Independence," where two thousand years of history are condensed into the space of an enormous wall.

The palace also houses a small museum dedicated to Benito Juárez (the first Mexican leader) and the Mexican Congress. Currently, it is the official residence of the President and contains various administrative offices.

Cancun

Cancun is the one of the world’s most popular destinations thanks to its amalgam of attractions and a wide variety of activities, meeting the needs of tourist of every age, socio-economic status and cultural background. All visitors will enjoy the Isla Mujeres and its long stretches of fine white sandy beaches, the bluest waters of the Caribbean Sea, all under the hot Mexican Sun. Largely influenced by the Mayan civilization and the Spanish colonialism, Cancun is submerged by a rich culture with deep historical roots. Its numerous ancient ruins bear witness to the industriousness past of the Mayan civilizations. The Ruinas Del Rey and the Chichén Itzá are definitely its most famous historic remains. Cancun also has some natural jewels, including the Cenotes, sinkholes collapse filled with a layer of fresh water and sometimes a bottom layer of seawater, which is perfect for diving. The popular city resort, offering a number of elegant business services and luxurious hotels, is a perfect venue for conducting business events and conferences.

Ruinas del Rey

Located within the Hotel Zone, the Ruinas Del Rey offers a real journey back to the ancient Mayan world, close to the beaches and hotels of the largest Mexican resort that is Cancun. Discovered in the 16th century and excavated in 1954, the vestiges dates back to dates the IXth century BC, and was active until 1550 of our era. El Rey worth the trip for its numerous monuments: the pyramid, the columns of what was to be a temple or a religious building and the palace which was used for administrative functions. The pyramid, constituting the core of this site is 5,5 meters height. It consists of three levels and a staircase giving access to what should be a temple, but only two small altars and remains of a wall still exist.

Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres is an island in the Mexican Caribbean Sea, renowned for its fascinating nature, long stretches of white sandy beaches, wealthy culture and luxurious hotels. Inhabited since the Pre-Columbian times, the island turned through time from a sanctuary island dedicated to Mayan gods to a small fishing village to become finally one of the most famous resorts in the Caribbean Sea. Isla mujeres is also ideal for organizing incentive travels, groups training and every kind of business events thanks to a large array of conference facilities.

Cenotes

A Cenote is a natural limestone sinkhole, containing a layer of fresh water with aquatic fauna, occurring mainly in Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula. The ancient Maya placed great importance on the cenotes as the only source of potable water in a region with few lakes and almost no rivers. This natural curiosity offers one of the most pleasant excursions around Cancun. Visitors can enjoy swimming and diving in those natural pools with crystalline waters, breathtaking scenery and great archaeological value.in fact, the cenotes are today included in almost every tour in Mexico.

Chichén Itzá

Chichen Itza is the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire and the most famous archaeological site in Mexico. This great Mayan City, founded in 435 AD, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. The Kukulkan Pyramid, commonly known as “El Castillo”, was elected in 2007 as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. “El Castillo” served as a temple to the god Kukulkan. The pyramid, recalling the form of a mountain is believed to have served as a calendar. In Fact, when counting the steps of this huge monument, you will notice that it has 365 steps, one step for each day of the year.

MUSA the Underwater Museum of Art

MUSA, the Underwater Museum of Art , located in the water surrounding of Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Punta Nizuc, is one of the largest underwater artificial art attractions in the world. Formed in 2009 by the artist Jason deCaires Taylor, this ambitious and original installation spans over 420 sq. metres and weigh over 180 tons. The main attraction of the museum is the collection called the "Silent Evolution", compound of 400 life-sized statues made from material used to promote coral life in addition for creating a habitat for the marine life. This collection offers a view of how the Mayan people have evolved thru the years.
