Dar Es Salaam

Anglican Cathedral

The Anglican Church of Tanzania or the ACT was known as the Church of the Province of Tanzania.
It became part of the Province of East Africa in 1960, and the first Anglican cathedral in the African continent. The ACT is a member of the Anglican Communion based in Dodoma (national capital of Tanzania), including 26 dioceses from which, 25 are on Tanzanian mainland, and only one on Zanzibar, headed by their respective bishops. The ultimate aim of the Church is to praise the Kingdom of God and enable communities to experience life in its fullness through evangelism, worship, prayer, and social services.

The Palace Museum

Situated in Tanzania, the Palace Museum also called Beit el Sahel is one of the most popular historical buildings in Zanzibar. The palace was built in the 19th century for the sultan family and it has a strategic location between the House of Wonders and the Old Dispensary. The family of the sultan lived on the palace until 1964, after the revolution, the building was transformed into a public palace named People’s Palace. The ground floor displays the details of the training period of the sultanate during which commercial treaties were signed between Zanzibar and the United States, Britain, France and the Hanseatic Republics. This palace is a real royal jewel where people can discover memories of Princess Salme, the princess of Zanzibar, who eloped with a German Europe and later wrote an autobiography.

Mafia Island

Mafia Island is the best place to visit beaches, coral reef and sandy dunes in all east of Africa, attracting one thousand visitors per year. It is located near Pemba and Zanzibar and known by its diving, fishing and swimming with whale sharks. This Swahili Coast became the greatest destination to enjoy trip in peace.

Zanzibar
