A year after its reopening, things are going swimmingly for the hotel.
Revamped by the famous Jacques Garcia, the Marrakech palace posts a very good occupancy rate (53%), penetrates more markets including UK, the US and even Brazil and appears among the best hotels in the world. And what better a Christmas present for the hotel than the shower of awards it just received? Recognized Best Hotel for Service by the magazine Conde Nast Traveller, Best New International Spa by American Spa Magazine, elected Best Spa in Morocco at the Spa Finders Readers Choice Awards and shortlisted at the Gala Spa Awards, the Mamounia has collected many distinctions this winter.
Situated only 5 minutes from the Koutoubia mosque, the hotel is composed of 210 bedrooms and riads (a traditional Morroccan house or palace) that can be privatized for events. The cosy library can welcome up to 40 people while the Grand Salon is suitable for large scale events up to 300 people.
