A new crown for Melbourne23/06/2009 Australia
Futuristic design and grandeur are the main characteristics of the Crown Metropol, third hotel of the group in the city. This new-born hotel, which owes its name to its urban and cosmopolitan style, will open in early 2010 and will be the biggest hotel in Australia
Ideally situated in front of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the 5-star which resembles a kind of wave, has been created by Bates Smart, the company which constructed the modern Federation Square, the main cultural building of the city. The establishment will boast 658 rooms including 32 suites spread over 28 floors, a spa and the 28 Sky Bar which promises to be a fashionable place for events. A lot of spaces will also be dedicated to meeting planners for all kinds of events. The hotel also has many surprises in store, such as the restaurant Maze directed by the media-friendly and mischievous Scottish chef Gordon Ramsay which will offer a capacity of 300 seats. This new opening shows the good health of this major and high-level destination.
