A new green step for the MTCC
22/04/2008 CanadaThe Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) has become the first convention centre in Canada to offer green power as an option to its clients
Thanks to a partnership with Bullfrog Power, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, the MTCC will be able to help event planners reduce the environmental footprint of their exhibitions by matching their electricity usage with green-power certified wind and low-impact hydro power. The centre, which hosts more than 750 events annually, is already recognized for other sustainability initiatives like its Zero Waste Event Concept, its massive green roof and its use of Toronto’s Deep Water Cooling system. MTCC also won 2007 AIPC Innovation Award for its environmental leadership.
