Being a key issue for centres and PCOs, their relationship with the press was also discussed during the last edition of IMEX in Frankfurt where press ICCA members debated on questions such as: How do I raise my company’s profile in the press? How do I draw press attention to events I organise for my clients? What can I learn from the press? Do I need a professional managing my press relations?

*What are we measuring, anyhow?
Speaker: Professor Leo Jago, Acting Director of TTRI at Nottingham University Business School
The success of a convention centre has for too long been assessed primarily on tourism-related measures like room nights and the economic impacts of visitor spending. But to demonstrate real value in today's climate, we need to be able to document what meetings actually accomplish in terms of growing the overall economy. This session will be based on his recent landmark study in Australia and look at the role that centres can play.
Please also share with us examples from European and Asian centres and how the impact of congresses are measured there.
