All you need is W!

The brand of Starwood Hotels & Resorts has made waves with the opening of the W London Leicester Square, its 40th property, on February 14th.

Located in the heart of London’s entertainment district, the façade of the 10-storey building is made up of see-through glass which changes color depending on the time of the day. The hotel boasts 192 bedrooms, including 17 suites and 3 WOW suites, as well as 2 meeting rooms. It is characterized by a design of myriad influences, where the elegance of Savile Row meets Soho’s eclecticism. A dual atmosphere which also applies to the bars: the cosy W Lounge and its Chesterfield sofas presents a stark contrast to the hip and rock’n’roll Wyld.

On the gastronomy side, the Spice Market, little brother of the eponymous New York restaurant, is headed up by the Michelin 3-star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The restaurant can accommodate up to 34 people in its lower level, 95 at the upper level and 40 more people in a private room. An additional facility, the Screening Room, equipped with the 3D technology, can host up to 38 people for a private projection.

This London hotel, along with the sister branch launched simultaneously in Taipei, embodies the expansion of W. The brand aims to double its presence worldwide by 2014.
