Antalya Convention Bureau Announced its 2011 Meeting Statistics

According to ACB Statistics, Antalya hosted 156 Congress in 2011

According to the information given by Antalya Convention Bureau, in 2010, 40 international, 46 national, in total 86 conventions were realized in Antalya. In 2011, these numbers increased by %81; Antalya hosted, 56 international, 100 national, in total 156 congresses in 2011.

ACB announced that Maritim Pine Beach Hotel ranks first with 17 meetings. Considering the DMCs, Serenas Tourism is the primary agent. The two major congresses of 2011 with 2000 attendances were realized in Maxx Royal Hotel and Maritim Pine Beach Hotel by Serenas Tourism and by Topkon Congress.

Belek is the most-preferred region by Congress Organizer Associations

Antalya Convention Bureau declared that in 2011, Belek is once more the most popular region of the Congress Tourism and that the most common issue held was Medical Field like in 2010. Nevertheless, Antalya hosted many different meeting-congress about Agriculture, Fitness, Pharmaceuticals, Veterinary, Statistics, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Physics, Technology, Cosmetology, Law, Fisheries, Geography, Archaeology...

Congress Tourism has the Power to Increase the “High Season” to 12 Months

Sinan ?nan, the General Manager of Antalya Convention Bureau said that the most intense period for Congress Sector is the winter time and this proves us the ability of Congress Tourism to increase the “High Season” to 12 months in Antalya.

?nan also mentioned: “After taking ICCA 2014 General Assembly, ITAA 2012, ABTA 2012, Antalya, has increased its recognition on international platform. According to our international congress statistics, we see an increase of 40 per cent in 2011. These statistics show us this rapid development of Congress Sector in Antalya. But today, this sector needs to be moved to higher level to complete its evolution with a new congress center”.
