Split in two, both geographically and culturally, Istanbul is proud of its important historical heritage

The city, which is now the economic capital of Turkey, is situated astride the European and Asian continents and blends West and East as well as Mediterranean and Anatolian cultures. The vibrant centre of Istanbul offers a very important conference and exhibition area named Conference Valley. This district was absolutely buzzing a few weeks ago with the opening of the Istanbul Congress Centre (total capacity of 3, 500 people) which hosted the World Bank-International Monetary Fund last month. The city also counts almost 50,000 guestrooms spread over hundreds of hotels. Amongst them, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, located on the European side along the Bosphorus, immerses its guests in history with its Ottoman atmosphere and boasts 313 rooms and several meeting rooms. Hilton Hotels is very well implemented in the city with 3 hotels: the Conrad Istanbul, Hilton Park SA Istanbul and the Hilton Istanbul with its convention centre able to receive up to 3,000 guests. The WOW Istanbul Hotels and Convention Centre is a complex mixing a 4-star (The WOW Istanbul Airport Hotel, 360 rooms), and a 5-star hotel (the WOW Istanbul Hotel, 275 rooms) as well as a convention centre.
