CIBTM 2009 is heading for the Olympic Beijing

China National Convention CentreThis edition of the China Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition will be the first international trade exhibition of the China National Convention Centre (CNCC) before its official opening in November
It will thus invest the Olympic capital for a 3-day event beginning today. With 300 exhibitors, 280 Hosted Buyers and 5,900 pre-registered, the 35% larger trade show is “set to attract its biggest audience ever” says CIBTM’s director Graeme Barnett. The educational programme, animated by well-known and relevant speakers like Martin Sirk, the CEO of ICCA, is composed of 13 seminars provided with simultaneous translation and broaching interesting issues such as how the 2010 Worldexpo Shanghai can be suitable for MICE business, or the changing tastes of Chinese corporate buyers. Networking opportunities will also give a boost to the event, like the Gala evening which will take place tomorrow night at the Beijing Olympic Forest Park. One of the highlights of this edition will surely be the revealing of the results of the third global study of the meetings & incentives industry for China and Asia. To be continued.
