Corinthian spirit arrives in London

On 9th May the Corinthia’s new five-star flagship hotel opened its doors in London.

Ideally located in the centre of the British capital, just off Trafalgar Square, the hotel is housed in a luxuriously redesigned Victorian building, once the home of the Hotel Metropole. This redesign aims to combine the traditional grandeur of the original architecture with modern freshness and elegance. In order to achieve this atmosphere, the hotel features an extensive use of contemporary art. According to General Manager Mark Dixon, “guests are offered all the modern luxuries whilst enjoying an authentic experience in a hotel and location with heritage.”

It boasts 294 guest rooms, among the largest in their category in London, of which 43 are suites. Both of its restaurants offer guests the chance to sample world-class cuisine: The Northall, headed up by chef Garry Hollihead, who has won Michelin stars at three different restaurants, celebrates the best of British artisanal produce, while the Mediterranean speciality seafood restaurant, Massimo Restaurant and Oyster Bar, features renowned Italian chef patron Massimo Riccioli at the helm. The Corinthia London is also home to the truly exceptional ESPA Life Spa, the flagship outlet of award-winning spa company ESPA, which spans a remarkable four floors.

The meeting facilities are just as extensive. There are six generously furnished private meeting rooms on the Mezzanine level, all of which are equipped with the latest audiovisual technology and are conveniently linked to the private dining area of The Northall. Five of the meeting rooms are fitted with a state-of-the-art high definition optical turnkey system that allows total connectivity for media broadcasting, recording, editing and mixing.
