EIBTM encourages technological innovations

The international exhibition has been proving for a decade that technology really matters and takes an active part in the meeting industry.

The 10^th EIBTM Worldwide Technology Watch (WWTW) will once again highlight companies who provide new technology solutions for meetings, events, incentive travel, conference and exhibition industries. According to Corbin Ball, chair of EIBTM’s WWTW jury: “Social media, mobile technology, collaboration tools, location-aware products and many more transform nearly every aspect of event management, marketing, networking and the attendee experience”. Ball’s jury fellows will be Martin Sirk (ICCA), Bruce Mc Millan (MPI), Paul Hussey (BSI Meetings & Events), Ruud Janssen (TNOC), Samuel Smith (Interactive Meeting Technology, LLC) and Lynn Wong (Grupo eventoplus). Innovation, value to users and pertinent usage will be the main criteria taken into account.

This competition constitutes a significant opportunity for the winner who will benefit from worldwide attention as well as a free stand at the Technology Village during EIBTM 2010 (30^th November to December 2^nd in Barcelona) to present his innovative product. The 2009 Winner, Jordan Schwartz, CEO of Pathable –Social network & community for conference & events– rejoices: “It serves as a great confirmation that the work we've put into improving the conference social experience for attendees has been well-spent. Pathable has been largely focused on the US to date, and the EIBTM technology award provides a perfect introduction for our ideas to the important European market”.
