Live like a king at the Savoy

With the world in thrall to the royal wedding, why not soak up London’s regal atmosphere and organise an event at the British capital’s most famous hotel, the haunt of many royals and other distinguished personalities?

The Savoy Hotel, situated on the Strand in the city centre, re-opened late last year following an extensive three-year, £220 million renovation of the entire property.

Under the direction of world-renowned designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, the refurbishment of the interior has retained the original design aesthetics of the hotel, Edwardian and Art Deco, while 38 new suites and guestrooms have been added, meaning that there are now 268 in total.

Of course, the Savoy still retains its legendary bars and restaurants. The famous Art Deco décor of the River Restaurant has been re-interpreted in a contemporary fashion, and it now offers a modern French menu, while the management of the Savoy Grill has been taken over by Gordon Ramsay Holdings. The restoration of the American Bar, one of London’s most iconic meeting spots, has preserved it almost entirely in its original form, and it boasts a new team of award-winning bartenders. The brand-new Beaufort Bar, located on the hotel’s old cabaret stage, offers a theatrical and glamorous alternative.

In terms of meeting space, the Savoy has 3 imposing Banqueting rooms capable of hosting events for between 60 and 800 delegates, and 6 smaller Private Rooms for more intimate occasions. The hotel also has its own experienced events team, who are able to assist organizers with the planning of their events, right down to the smallest detail.
