Moroccan magic at the Mazagan

Fireworks, music and a huge show (50 horses and 250 local musicians) broadcasted live on the hotel’s website characterized the grand opening of the Mazagan Beach Resort last Saturday

After nearly two years of construction work, the Moroccan resort just opened its doors in front of a host of VIP guests, including Naomi Watts and the catwalks’ panther, Naomi Campbell. This golf and spa destination from Sol Kerzner International is a brand new eco-friendly resort situated at 90 km from Casablanca which promotes local culture in a truly luxurious and arabo-mauresque setting. Composed of 500 bedrooms, it unveils tremendous infrastructures: a spa surrounded by palm and orange trees, the Sanctuary night-club, 11 restaurants presenting a Mediterranean cuisine from Moroccan delights such as tajines and couscous to other sunny specialties, a casino and last but not least, one of the biggest conference centres in the area. Outside the hotel lies the 18-golf course designed by famous South-African champion Gary Player. The plus point: the hotel can be entirely privatized for a large-scale Moroccan luxurious event.
