New sky-high Chinese venue launches meetings butler service

In preparation for its grand opening before the end of 2011, the world-class St Regis Shenzhen hotel, which will become the tallest hotel in this metropolitan city, has released details of its meetings packages, which includes a personalized and dedicated in-house butler service.

The St Regis Shenzhen’s Banquet Butlers will provide meeting delegates and planners with a personalized service, from making dinner reservations and booking theatre tickets after a meeting, to taking care of errands and any last-minute emergencies that might arise during the course of the event.

St Regis Shenzhen will boast 2,100 square metres of meeting and banquet space located on the fifth floor of the hotel, which occupies the upper 28 levels of the Kingkey 100 building – a stunning steel and glass tower designed by renowned architect Sir Terry Farrell. This will include the expansive Astor Ballroom, pre-function area and eight additional meeting rooms, each named after a precious gemstone, which can accommodate between 10 and 840 people.

At an impressive 872 square metres, the Astor Ballroom is one of the largest in Shenzhen and can accommodate up to 840 people. A tribute to the Astor family of the original St Regis New York, the ballroom is designed with local elements, while bringing out the hotel’s grandeur with chandeliers made of crystals that have been cut to resemble diamonds with a beautiful azalea pattern inlay. Delegates will also enjoy dramatic views of the Shenzhen cityscape.
