The 2012 Olympics are quickly approaching. If you have kept up with the London news lately, you already know that the shortage of hotel rooms has become a major concern.

Although new hotels are currently being built to satisfy the short spike in demand, official figures say as many as 17,000 new rooms in total are necessary. On the one hand, the British Hospitality Association assures that there is no cause for concern.

On the other, beverage company Coca-Cola is apparently insisting on its own 20,000 rooms. So if you run out of English lodging options for the games, we have several hotel options still available, and all are just a short train ride away from the action.
