Experience an extraordinary Christmas at the highest spot in Hong Kong Enjoy Christmas lights and the beautiful harbour with panoramic 360-degree views Hong Kong, 23 November 2011 – The dazzling Christmas lights in Hong Kong are a world-class attraction, have you ever imagined enjoying the festive scenic beauty of all Kowloon and Hong Kong Island from a new perspective? Have you thought about creating a sweet Christmas experience for your beloved? From 7 December 2011 to 3 January 2012, sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, located at International Commerce Centre (ICC), the tallest building in Hong Kong, is proudly presenting “Candy Wonderland” and inviting visitors to celebrate Christmas in a sweet and memorable new way!
First time ever in Hong Kong using real candies as theme for festive decorations, sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck has invited the Asian King of Pop Aaron Kwok and local master illustrator Siuhak to illustrate their Christmas dreams in candy. This inspirational exhibition is complemented by a huge lollipop Christmas tree, a gigantic two metre tall gashapon machine, an exclusive stall selling Christmas gifts designed by Siuhak, festive performances on special days, and Hong Kong’s only panoramic 360-degree views of the city’s Christmas lights. To make visiting the deck even more convenient, a free shuttle bus service from Tsim Shai Tsui is also now available, meaning it’s never been easier to celebrate a carnival-like Christmas high over the city! For the sweetest Christmas celebrations, there’s nowhere like sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck and its fantastic Candy Wonderland!
Super star Aaron Kwok and Siuhak share their dreams at Candy Wonderland
From 7 December to 3 January 2012, sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck will be the first-ever venue to feature Christmas decorations based on the true-life stories of two legendary success stories: “Hong Kong’s King of Pop Stage Performance by Aaron Kwok” and “An Eco-Journey to a Childhood Christmas by Siuhak”. These groundbreaking festive decorations tell the story of how Aaron Kwok and Siuhak achieved their success with never-give-up spirit. Visitors can experience this Hong Kong spirit on the observation deck that has also made Hong Kong the city it is today.
For this unique celebration, Aaron Kwok has used candy to create the stage of his dreams. This eye-catching creation also provides an opportunity for him to share how he overcame many challenges in his career to achieve his dream of becoming the Asian King of Pop!
As one of Hong Kong’s top illustrators, Siuhak has chosen to make the world a better place by using candy to encourage visitors to look for the life they want. Visitors can take pictures with these wonderful decorations and even purchase Christmas gifts designed by him to share the festive joy with friends and loved ones!
Extraordinary decorations made from real candy – A carnival-like Candy Wonderland!
The only panoramic 360-degree views of Hong Kong’s Christmas lights From sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck, visitors can enjoy the only panoramic 360-degree views of Hong Kong’s Christmas lights and take unbeatable snapshots of the city from high above at 393 metres above sea level – a unique vantage point that cannot be found anywhere else in Hong Kong!
Lollipop Christmas Tree
In addition to the décor designed by the celebrities, another focal point will be a lollipop Christmas tree that is located on the observation deck up at 393 metres above sea level. It’s the perfect choice for sharing the joy with loved ones!
Free trial of the giant gashapon machine
A huge gashapon machine over two metres high is also available on the deck. This Christmas every visitor will get a free try, ensuring even more festive surprises and the opportunity to take home some candy delights!
Enjoy the carnival spirit with candy girls and Christmas performers
For a carnival atmosphere like no other, sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck has invited numerous artists to dress up in fabulous Christmas costumes and take souvenir snapshots with visitors. These colourful characters include lovely candy girls, candy cane man, snowman, gingerbread man and Mr Reindeer!
Visitors of all ages are sure to love meeting these performers and sharing the joy of a Christmas carnival in the sky – the one and only Candy Wonderland!
