Room 3120Taking the hotel experience into the future, Novotel has teamed up with Microsoft to launch the world of tomorrow’s first hotel room. Unveiled earlier this week, the ‘room-of-the-future’ is called 3120 and will be housed at the Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse.
Working with the architecture firm Naço, the hotel room has been described to have a “unique ambience” upon entry and will be equipped with technology (for those tech geeks out there: voice recognition, a fitness interface and a multimedia table) yet to be released in the market.
The new features in this customized room also include the surface table, which responds to the user’s hand gestures and allows them to browse through the web, play board games or search interactive maps, appropriate for the business traveler or for the family with kids.
This hotel room was designed to accommodate two adults and two children under 16 and is available for general reservations for a three month period from 14 February 2012.
