The Istanbul Luefti Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Centre launches new logo

“Change is on the stage”: The Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Turkey's first congress centre, has brought out a redesigned logo to reflect the change and renewal of its overall corporate identity. The ceremony to launch the new corporate logo was held on May 8th 2012 at a reception on the centre’s terrace.

The event, which brought together major representatives from the worlds of politics, business, media, arts and culture, started with a speech by Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar ICEC General Manager Pervin ZEYDANLI YALAZAN.

ZEYDANLI YALAZAN said: “Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar was the first ever congress centre in Turkey. Up to today it has held more than 4,000 events, and hosted 6 million guests from 192 countries. And Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar ICEC knows that long-established companies can only continue their growth and achieve permanent success through continuous change. We owe our leading position to our dedication to such an unceasing change and development. We are proud that we have been the first in the congress tourism sector for more than 15 years. We renewed and modernized both the interior design and the facade of our building. We also made new investments for technological developments and service quality which would form the base for change and dev elopment. And we crowned all that by renewing our corporate logo.”

The Chairman of the Board Mr. Basaran ULUSOY, who ounded UKTAS (International Congress Facility Management Company) in 1993, also gave a speech saying “I foresaw the effectiveness of congress tourism back in those days and I put my faith in it. And here we are today. Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar ICEC, is most definitely the flagship of congress tourism in Turkey. Today, we are able to host 40,000 people a day for congress tourism. ”

After Basaran ULUSOY’s speech, the new logo was projected onto the Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar building via video mapping to present it to the invited guests. Video mapping was applied on an area of 1000m² making it visible from as far away as the shores of the Anatolian side of Istanbul. The guests were able to view this remarkable show thanks to Spectrum, a solution partner of Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar ICEC with many years of invaluable experience in the sector of audio, lighting and visual technologies.

During the ceremony, the Bogaziçi Borsa Restaurant served the guests from a menu containing its finest specialities. The Bogaziçi Borsa Restaurant has provided catering services for Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar ICEC since its foundation. It has the capacity to serve 30,000 people at a time. At the end of the event, delicious cheesecakes with the Istanbul Lütfi Kirdar ICEC’s new logo on them were handed out to the guests.
