The Langham Xintiandi launches XTD Elevated, the new party destination in town

Shanghai, China, 27th April 2011. The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai is set to unveil its newest dining venue - XTD Elevated this coming May. XTD Elevated is a chic and stylish outdoor lounge & bar with a South American vibe that is destined to become Shanghai’s newest hotspot. Located on the 5th floor terrace overlooking Xintiandi, XTD Elevated will become THE place to be this summer to enjoy both sunny days and pleasant evenings.

Open every day for lunch and dinner, XTD Elevated will offer the perfect location for casual dining, business lunches and official gatherings with a difference. Led by Albert Servalls, the hotel’s Executive Chef – Western cuisine, the innovative menu which is presented to guests on i-Pads, will focus on fresh grilled seafood and meat dishes with a South American vibe. A highlight will be a premium BBQ offering with the chefs grilling in full view of diners; all dishes are complemented by organic salads, freshly prepared sides and an aioli and olive oil station with over forty varieties of olive oils on offer.

When the sun goes down, XTD Elevated will take on a whole new vibe. Guests can choose to lounge on leather day beds or book private cabanas with personalised service from dedicated waiters. The cabanas can be booked for exclusive use just by purchasing one of the champagne or premium spirit packages that XTD Elevated offers.

The atmosphere is bound to heat up when XTD Elevated’s resident DJ starts spinning the signature South American style lounge music late into the night to create an upbeat vibe that is distinctively Latin.
