ACC Liverpool
VIDEO Host of the 2010 AIPC annual conference, the 2008 European Capital of Culture has been undergoing a rebirth for the last 3 years.
Liverpool is rich of 2,500 classified buildings, its Tate museum, its harbour which is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage and of course the Beatles. An “England rocks” card even provides a dedicated tour to discover all the mythic rock spots such the Hard Day’s Night hotel made made famous by the Fab Four. Concerning the venues, ACC Liverpool, composed of BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, was given the ISO 14001 certification last March for its environmental good practices. With the help of a Green Dream Team, ACC is the first English congress centre to be certified BREEAM, a reference standard saluting its sustainable construction. The centre is composed of a 11,000-seat arena, 7,000 sqm dedicated to exhibitions, a multifunctional hall up to 1,800 persons, an auditorium and 18 meeting rooms.
New hotels also started to multiply in 2008 with the opening of the Vincent Hotel, for instance. Managed by Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, this establishment, a member of Design Hotels, is characterized by its glass front exterior. Composed of 60 design bedrooms and the V Spa, it offers 2 meeting rooms.
