V Australia reaches the stars
17/03/2009 AustraliaLaunched with great pomp the 27th of February, the brand new airline, part of Virgin Group, starts its journey by flights joining Sydney to Los Angeles
Sydney Airport sees the choice of V Australia to take its first flight from Sydney as a great opportunity to showcase the current upgrade of the airport’s facilities. The company mostly owes its birth to the open skies agreements concluded last year. Many Aussie and American show biz stars joined Sir Richard Branson for the inaugural flight, both festive and cheerful. The objective of V Australia is to open travel between the two countries by offering affordable and high-quality flights. Moreover, in a downturn context, its goal is to encourage optimism and support business travel. The fleet is composed of 360-seat Boeing 777-300 ER aircrafts, each offering 33 business class lie-flat beds. The airline will also soon launch flights from Brisbane and Melbourne.
