The Sandton Convention Centre plays a positive role in the Meeting, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions industry (MICE), in promoting the country and Johannesburg as a favoured destination. Johannesburg, South Africa has been selected as the host city for International Small Business Council 2012, Cosmetic Chemists Congress 2012, the World Doping in Sports Conventions (WADA) 2013, One Young World 2013, World Orchid Congress 2014 and International Mineralogical Association 2014 with the Sandton Convention Centre being the host venue.
