The Museum of Natural History was designed by Gottfried Semper and Carl Hasenauer and is among the most representative buildings of historic Vienna. This museum contains various scientific departments such as Mineralogy, Geology, Palaeontology, Prehistory, Anthropology and Zoology. According to the plans of the 19th century the objects on display are arranged according to natural relationship, to geological or to cultural sequence. The richly decorated architecture follows the style of historicism and offers ? in combination with the unique collections ? a very special atmosphere for your events. The progressive scientific spirit of the 19th century meets modern standards of museum development in an overwhelming surrounding which turns out to be the perfect background for various events and occasions.
