The first Westin hotel in South America, it is situated in the heart of San Isidro, the Peruvian capital’s financial and commercial centre, and is just a few minutes away from a wide range of shops and restaurants. Designed by Miami-based firm Arquitectonica and famed New York designer Tony Chi, its architecture is arresting and contemporary.
The hotel boasts 301 rooms, while the convention centre, the largest meetings venue in Peru, has 10 meeting rooms and over 2,600 m² of function space. It can accommodate events ranging in size from 2 to 2,000 participants.
But that is not all: the facility is also home to a state-of-the-art fitness centre, complete with sauna, steam room and indoor swimming pool, as well as the largest spa in Lima. With 14 treatment rooms and a variety of services available, it will ensure that your delegates remain relaxed and pampered throughout their stay. Of course, there is a selection of restaurants and bars, including a fine-dining Peruvian eatery.
The opening of the Westin Lima follows the recent inauguration of the Westin Resort & Spa in Costa Rica, while the brand is set to open new branches in Panama and Mexico later this year.
“Starwood’s growth leader in Latin America is Westin Hotels, which is set to double its portfolio in the region by 2012,” commented Starwood Hotels and Resorts Latin America president Osvaldo Librizzi.
