All over the world, new hotels are popping up. With so many others changing management and undergoing renovations, it can be difficult to keep track! Here are several impressive venues on Bedouk’s list of favorites.

There are 2 new Hilton hotels at the Frankfurt Airport – Hilton Frankfurt Airport and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport. Despite being individually branded, the hotels share the same roof at the futuristic Squaire complex. Each has access to the grand ballroom, fit to entertain as many as 570 guests. The Hilton Frankfurt Airport offers 10 meeting rooms on 2 executive floors with a 24-hour business center; the Hilton Garden Inn offers 3 meeting rooms, each with natural light that welcomes up to 28. A modern interior, designed by JOI-Design, depicts a theme of mobility throughout both hotels. This is not surprising since The Squaire is planted directly above Germany’s ICE Railway Station and only a skywalk away from the second largest European airport.

The Radisson Blu Park Hotel in Athens is Rezidor’s first property in Greece. The hotel was formerly known as the Athens Park Hotel, as it is situated across from the park itself, and underwent a complete renovation in 2010. Today there are 152 guestrooms, but further expansion in 2012 will add more rooms and increase meeting space. As with every Radisson Blu, all guests receive free WiFi. Other highlights of the Radisson Blu Park Hotel include a fitness center, soundproof windows, 4 restaurants, and a rooftop swimming pool with views of the Acropolis.

Leaning a phenomenal and record-breaking 18 degrees is the Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi. Recently opened in the UAE Capital, the iconic hotel offers 189 guestrooms, each with floor-to-ceiling windows and unobstructed views of the city and Arabian Gulf. The location is convenient 15 minutes from the airport. And if the 4 state-of-the-art boardrooms cannot satisfy your meeting needs, just go next door to the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Shangri-La Asia Limited recently won a bid at government auction for land at Hung Hom Bay, upon which they will build and operate a Traders Hotel, with adjacent leisure and retail facilities. The Traders Hotel brand began in August of 2010 but Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts is one of the world’s leading hotel companies. The majority of the 698 guestrooms offer complete views of Victoria Harbour. A 700m2 ballroom is available for optimal meeting space. The entire complex is expected to open in 2015.

Morgans Hotel Group will soon be managing a Mondrian hotel, located in Istanbul’s Old City area. Expected to open in 2014, the Mondrian will have 128 rooms and a lifestyle hotel experience typical of the brand’s whimsical style. It will boast a unique spa, renovated from a historic Turkish bath. The Light Group, 90% of which Morgans owns in controlling interest, will take charge of original food and beverage options for the restaurant and lounge area.

The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company is continuing the global expansion of its luxury brand name with its first hotel in Austria. The new Ritz will be located in the city of Vienna, the European capital of classical music, at a 19th century site that is listed as culturally protected by the government. In fact, the Vienna State Opera and the Museum of Fine Arts are found on the same street. The 202-room hotel will open in 2012.
