St George's Hall is widely regarded as one of the finest neo-classical buildings in the world and is a Grade I listed building. It was reopened in 2007 by Prince Charles after a £23m refurbishment programme. Built in the early 1800s as a space for music festivals and the Civil and Crown courts, the hall has always been at the heart of community life in the city. Over 25,000 people gathered outside the Hall when John Lennon was killed, and in excess of 65,000 witnessed Liverpool's spectacular European Capital of Culture People’s Opening in 2008. Today we host exhibitions, tours and talks, corporate events and weddings both large and small in a selection of beautiful rooms for hire.
