United Kingdom - Rowland's Castle
|Maximum number of meeting rooms||7|
It all began with a hunting lodge in the forest 800 years ago. After several owners and a disastrous fire in 1900, the present mansion was rebuilt on the ‘footprint’ of a 17th century house and the estate became the home of the Earls of Bessborough in 1924. The house was enjoyed by the families of the 9th and 10th earls throughout their lifetimes and is presented to visitors as a family home, with splendid family portraits and contents. The downstairs servants’ quarters are a unique and evocative experience. The House and Grounds are now open to the public and used for events, weddings and exclusive corporate functions.
